Bye Bye Brad Hopkins

Brad Hopkins, who I really started to like from listening to him on 106.7 The Fan, is being released from the Titans. I feel good about what that does for the salary cap, but it’s always sad when the guy who busted his ass each and every game has to move on. I did see him on TV a week prior to the Super Bowl and it seemed like he knew he would be moving on, since he wouldn’t be lowering his asking price. Maybe this is all leading to the Young deal and a new receiver after all.

It’s sad to see all of the players that made this team click 5 or 6 years ago sent packing. As much as it hurts, that’s just the nature of the NFL. The salary cap can be a cruel mistress. I can’t wait to watch Indy implode in a couple of years. It’s bound to happen with all the money their throwing around to Peyton, Marvin and Reggie.

I agree, even though I know it’s a business, you kind of feel like you know these guys and it’s a drag to see them go.
