Many of us on the Eastern side of Nashville have eagerly awaited the opening of the Providence 14 Theatres.

Great News! It’s almost here, and you heard it here at Metroblog Nashville FIRST!

The 14-screen Consolidated Theatre will have its Grand Opening on Friday, June 30th.

The Grand Opening Events will include:

¬ Free Goodie Bags for the first 500 guests
¬ Free Popcorn for all guests Friday, June 30 through Sunday, July 2
¬ An Appearance by Poppy® the Mascot–a larger than life Popcorn Bucket
¬ Opportunities to register to win free movies at Providence 14 for a year
¬ A live remote broadcast from WSIX with games and prizes sponsored by the station.

And, for all you fine Metroblog readers, check back here tomorrow (Friday) at lunchtime for a possible “insider secret”.

Thanks to Marie at Consolidated Theatres for all the information!

Oooooh “insider secret”. You have no idea how excited I am to have my picture taken with Poppy. Seriously, some strange mascot fascination I have…

That Providence shopping center is a disaster. The traffic is only going to get worse when they try to widen the road. You will be able to make it to 100 Oaks in less time than it will take to turn left into the Providence parking lot.
