Farmers’ Market renovations delayed, but increased

According to this article in the City Paper, the improvements to the Farmers’ Market will now be delayed until the spring, but the cost of those improvements will double. Among the improvements cited in the article was a ventilation system to allow better temperature regulation and to allow vendors to use gas cooktops.

That all sounds good and well, but it’s focused on the center section of the market. What I’m really hoping for are improvements to the outer sections where the produce is actually sold. I’d like to see, for example, a centralized payment system to allow vendors to accept credit cards more easily. So few of the vendors do, and I so rarely carry cash anymore.

What improvements would you like to see in the Farmers’ Market?
