Nashville Metblog Survey
I have an old friend coming to visit Nashville this weekend and I’m trying to plan out a few fun things to do. No, I am not asking readers for suggestions, though if you have some I will take them.
Rather, I wanted to ask: What sources do y’all turn to for ideas of fun things to do? What sources are out there other than the Nashville Scene and All the Rage? Where’s the best online calendar for live music events? Any other good ideas? Let me know your ideas in the comments… my friend thanks you!

Oh - As for a real suggestion: i read active blogs and listserv’s. Also check postings local telephone poles and coffee shop windows.
Point well taken, Paul. I know my own posts have been a little lacking recently. But what blogs do you read specifically? Are there any in particular that you find exceptionally helpful or relevant in pointing out fun Nashville events?
I mostly watch sites like this, Nashville is Talking, About Nashville, and a few others. And the East Nashville email listserv (i think there is a google archive of it somewhere). One of the better ’stuff going on’ blogs is also The Nashville Feed.
Then there’s always Citysearch and places like that, but those tend to just show the same old stuff that the Scene and Rage show.
You can bring your friend downtown to see some art galleries. My gallery Art Rogue is located on the second floor of the Arcade Building, off of 5th avenue.
