What to do on this gorgeous day

It’s a gorgeous day out there! I hope you’re going to get out and enjoy it, or maybe that you won’t even see this post right away because you’re already out there enjoying it.

But if you do see this post this morning, here’s an idea: the Farmer’s Market is having a craft fair today. Go check it out, pick up your weekend produce while you’re at it, and then enjoy being outdoors on the Bicentennial Mall.

That’s part of my agenda for today. What’s yours?

    1) Browse around Habitat Home Store, then stop to look for bulbs for planting (done).
    2) Start digging up new bed for planting said bulbs and general yard cleanup.
2.5) Craft fair? Thanks for pointing that out!
    3) Celebrate birthday with Korean food for dinner.

Among other things we made a run to pick up some Yazoo, which I remember you and Karsten liked. We’ll be sitting around the yard in the late afternoon/early evening. You and Karsten are most welcome to stop by and consume with us.

    1. Set car up for tomorrow’s race and load trailer.
1.3 Keep feet moving so dog doesn’t chew my shoestrings while I’m laying under the car.
1.4 Tell dog to stop barking at neighbor’s dogs.
1.5 Take something away from dog he’s not supposed to have.
    2. Wash car.
2.5 Fill dog’s water bowl so he stops drinking soapy water from bucket.
2.6 Spray dog so he stops drinking soapy water from bucket even though he has a full water bowl 3ft away.
2.7 Spray dog so he stops chewing on the garden hose.
    3. Mow yard.
3.5 Chase dog away from electrical cord so he doesn’t chew through it and get a bigger surprise than he wants.
    4. Sit on porch with a glass of ice tea and pet my napping dog.

Football in the back yard with the kids.

Later, I will be firing up the Fat Boy.

I just spend most of the day driving around Nashville with a friend who showed me several, several neighborhoods and different parts of town. I’m most likely moving from M’boro to Nashville within the next year and want to start figuring out what area of town I’d like to live in. It was the perfect day for driving around, and I’m very encouraged by the vast amount of houses for sale!

@Rachel: Happy birthday! Hope it’s a great one.

@Mike: Sounds great. We’ll wander over and see if you’re out.

@Megan: Cool! I hear the near north side is pretty neato keen. :)

@Jackson: I liked what you wrote, I guess I won’t be stopping by here anymore. She didn’t even speak to you and me.

It was the perfect day for the Nashville Buddhist Festival.

    @GoingLikeSixty I wouldn’t worry about it.

    Hey, Kate —
I saw you and Karsten from a distance at the craft fair, but I had customers at my booth and didn’t get to say hi. Hope you had a good time!

@GoingLikeSixty I wasn’t sure if you were kidding or serious about my not responding, but either way, I did like the idea of taking 4 dogs for pictures. Any update on how it went?

@Jackson Not to say that yours is not a totally valid way to spend a beautiful day. ;)

@Jon Interesting! Want to provide a summary we can repost here?

@Christy N Bummer we missed you! We made a cursory pass over the booths, got lunch, and then had to leave so I could make an appointment. I hope you’re there next time so I can say hi. :)
