Register to Vote in Presidential Primary by Monday
If you haven’t yet registered to vote, but want to participate in the February 5 Tennessee presidential primary (and trust Metro with your identifying info), this coming Monday, January 7, is the last day to register. Early voting starts on Wednesday, January 16, and runs through Thursday, January 31.
More information about voter registration is available from Metro Election Commission or Tenn. Dept. of State.
Is this only available if you vote in the davidson co or will other counties be vehicles for the primary election?
Is this also available in other counties other than davidson co?
Where do I go to vote in the primary?
@Andrew: It’s a statewide primary for people registered in either the Democratic or Republican parties. Independent/non-affiliated/third-party voters do not participate in Tennessee primary elections. The link to the Tenn. Dept. of State covers the details and links to each county.
@ Jae: Go to the website for the election commission in your county to find the voting location for your precinct. Your voter registration card will list your precinct. To vote on election day, you must go to your designated precinct location. Early voting occurs only at a few designated locations, but you can vote early at any of them, whichever is most convenient for you.
