Ugh!

It was fun the first 20 minutes.

Then our shamble of zombies walked from the Printer's Alley area to Centennial park! I walked the full-tilt shuffled - which put me in the back of the zombie march. Word of our final destination passed down the line by mouth, and I assumed that since we were walking so very far there was something waiting for us at Centennial. There was...

The organizer and her friends had a car parked there, and left the rest of us with a little wave and nothing else.

After walking all the way back to downtown, I was pretty disillusioned about the whole "zombie walk" thing.

I'm not knocking my fellows from the undead ranks in attendance. Everyone was very friendly, and I did have a great time. I did expect more of the organizer, but hey - it was not a bad way to spend Saturday night.

For anyone considering joining the next zombie walk I have a couple of pointers:

>Comfy Shoes
>Bus or Cab fare (know the bus route that will take you back to your car)
>Be nice to the Police men.

I can't think of a better post-Steeplechase activity than this. I'll probably look like a drunk sunburned (or wet)zombie wearing a seersucker jacket anyway...
